Siloam Welsh Independent Chapel - Pentre Estyll (1904)

First of him is given out, then one of our oldest members reads from Isaiah – reading it with the sound of victory in his voice – and within four minutes his prayer is over – but it’s sparks are all over the meeting. Another hymn and Prayer from one of our old people and for two or three minutes, it is red hot. There’s another and another both of them similar in their experience. Then another is on his feet saying that he is ashamed we are all so hard and exhorting us to give ourselves more fully to the Holy Spirit. A stillness has descended  on the meeting by now, after we have been there for over two hours, but it is exactly like the calm before the storm – an expectant stillness..
