English Congregational Church - Fleur-de-Lis (1904)

'I am glad to say that we in this neighbourhood have had a taste of the revival. A week last Sunday evening a united prayer meeting was held at the English Congregational Church, Fleur-de-Lis, and united prayer meetings were held at the same place throughout the Saturday evening. It was arranged to hold a united prsyer-meeting at Salem Welsh Congregational Church. The English Congregational Church had a remarkable service on Sunday morning. The pastor opened the service in the ordinary way, but before he read his text the Spirit took possession of the meeting. This was the most remarkable meeting I have ever experienced. Every individual present wept like a child and even the children. Before the close of the service, which lasted for nearly two hours, every soul that had not hitherto professed Christ, did so. There were nine converts. By last night the number had increased to 22 since Sunday morning in this church only.'
