Llanfair Church, Cwmgors (1904)

31st December 1904. We began a series of prayer meetings at the above venue on the morning of Sunday, December 12th, and they are still going on regularly, and they are remarkable meetings in many ways, still improving as they go on. Prior to this, it was often hard work to get enough brethren to carry on the service, but today there are plenty of brothers and sisters ready and willing to take part in the service. No-one leads the meetings but the Spirit. There are some new people and several backsliders have returned, and we trust that this is only the first fruit of a great harvest to follow. Please God that the Spirit will lead some of the good brethren, which it inspired, to come to assist like the good brethren from Gorseinon, Loughor, and Pontycymmer.

I assume this is the church and town - the article does not mention the church.

Additional Information

Dechreuwyd ar res o gyfarfodydd gweddi yn y lie uchod boreu Sul, Rhagfyr 12fed, a pharant yn gyson hyd yma, a chyrddau nodedig ydynt ar lawer cyfrif yn gwella, o hyd wrth fyned yn mlaen. Cyn hyn gwaith anhawdd yn aml oedd cael digon o frodyr i gario y gwasanaeth yn mlaen; ond heddyw mae digon o frodyr a chwiorydd am y cyntaf yn barod i gymmeryd rhan yn y gwasanaeth. Nid oes neb yn arwain y cyfarfodydd ond yr Yspryd. Y mae rhai o'r newydd ac amryw wrthgilwyr wedi dychwelyd, a hyderwn nad yw hyn ond blaenffrwyth o gynhauaf mawr sydd i ganlyn. O ar Dduw na arweiniai yr Yspryd rai o'r brodyr da sydd wedi eu tanio ganddo heibio i gynorthwyo fel y brodyr da o Gorseinon, Casllwchwr, a Pontycymmer.
