I have not seen anything about this neighbourhood in the GOLEUAD, but not because no wonderful Revival and unusual things have taken place here or are continuing to do so. The district from Bontnewydd to Mynydd Mawr has completely changed its aspect; it is filled with the sound of song and praise. Scores have turned to Jesus for the first time in the different churches, and the oaths and the low language have almost entirely disappeared from the land, as one young man said at the throne of grace, "Thank You, O Lord, for changing the aspect of the old cabin at the quarry; we did many evil things there, and took your holy name in vain, but now praise and prayer can be heard rising from it every day." More than 60 have converted at Cesarea. There were a large number of listeners there before, and a good number have been converted at Carmel, Brynrhos, Brynrodyn, Rhosgadfan, Rhostryfan, etc. and scores of members who used to be silent and apathetic are praising God in public. It started here just before Christmas, but the last Friday of the year it broke out in general rejoicing at a young people's prayer meeting. The first Sabbath of the year was a special one. Prayer meetings are held every night, and the heavenly influence is plainly felt. Some were seen giving themselves to Jesus one evening, and the next evening coming forward to pray in public. It is wonderful to see such a great change in some characters, and see them on the floor confessing their transgressions to the Lord.

Powerful and wonderful things were felt at Bryn'rodyn in '59, and the 'tone' of that revival is to be clearly felt today in the prayers of some of the old brethren. We have not been left entirely destitute of the influence of the current revival either. We have had some drops coming down, and we are confident that the shower will not pass by without our experiencing greater things. The church has received a clear revival, and we have had 21 converts.

Nid wyf wedi gweled dim o hanes y cymydogaethau yma yn y GOLEUAD, ond nid am nad oes yma Adfywiad rhyfedd a phethau rhyfedd iawn wedi ac yn cymeryd lle. Mae y wlad o Bontnewydd i odreu y Mynyddfawr wedi newid ei gwedd yn hollol, llenwir hi a sain can a moliant. Ugeiniau wedi eu dychwelyd o'r newydd at yr Iesu yn y gwahanol eglwysi, a'r llwon, a'r iaith isel, wedi diflanu bron yn llwyr o'r tir, fel y dywedai un dyn ieuanc yma wrth orsedd gras, "Diolch i Ti, O Arglwydd, am newid gwedd yr hen gaban yn y chwarel; gwnaethom lawer o ddrygau ynddo, a cheblid dy enw glan, ond yn awr clywir mae a gweddi yn esgyn o hono bob dydd." Mae dros 60 wedi eu dychwelyd yn Cesarea. Yr oedd yno nifer fawr o wrandawyr blaen, ac y mae nifer dda wedi eu dychwelyd yn Carmel, Brynrhos, Brynrodyn, Rhosgadfan, Rhostryfan, etc ac ugeiniau lawer o'r aelodau distaw a didaro yn molianu Duw ar goedd. Dechreuodd yma ychydig cyn y Nadolig; ond y nos Wener olaf o'r flwyddyn y torodd allan yn orfoledd cyffredinol mewn cyfarfod gweddi y bobl ieuainc. Yr oedd y Sabbath cyntaf o'r flwyddyn yn neillduol. Cynhelir cyfarfodydd gweddiau bob nos, a theimlir y hun dylanwad nefon yn amlwg. Gwelid rhai yn rhoi eu hunain i'r Iesu un noswaith, a nos dranoeth yn dyfod ymlaen i weddio yn gyhoeddus. Rhyfedd gweled y fath gyfnewidiad mawr ar rai cymeriadau, a'u gweled ar lawr yn cyffesu eu hanwireddau i'r Arglwydd.

Teimlwyd pethau grymus a rhyfedd iawn yn Mryn'rodyn yn '59, ac y mae 'tinc' y diwygiad hwnw i'w deimlo yn amlwg heddyw yn ngweddiau rhu o'r hen frodyr. Ni adawyd ni yn gwbl amddifad o ddylanwad y diwygiad presenol chwaith. Ni gawsom rai defnynau i lawr, ac yr ydym yn hyderu nad a y gawod heibio heb i ni gael profi pethau mwy. Y mae yr eglwys wedi derbyn adfywiad amlwg, ac y mae nifer y dychweledigion yn un ar hugain.
