Haslingden (1876)

Mr Cleworth is labouring here, and reports state that there has never been such a movement in this place within living memory. On Sunday 30th, a congregation of over 600 were gathered at 8 o’clock in the morning and the afternoon and evening meetings were so large that an overflow meeting had to be provided for. “we had a great number of persons in the inquiry room, and the work is progressing in a most remarkable way."
