Worsop - Salvation Army (1881)

Sunday was a high day with his Corps. The open-air marches and meetings were better than ever. The crowd standing round ours on Sunday night listened with wrapped attention to the testimonies of our soldiers. Upon arrival at the Barracks we found them full, except the platform. Captain MartIn and Lieutenant Bell spoke for Jesus and while she spoke the power of God fell upon the people and praise the Lord 16 souls sought to make their peace with God, making 30 for the week we believe. Holiness unto the Lord is the secret of our success.

From, 'The War Cry', November 1881.

This is just one example of what was happening here. More reports can be seen from the War Cry in future months/years.
