Worcester - Salvation Army

To God be all the glory, for the great things he has been working amongst us this past week, wave after wave of Salvation has been flying over us at every meeting. On Monday night a band of our Hallelujah lasses summoned all at Jesus' call and 10 wept their way to Calvary. On Tuesday a band of redeemed drunkards continued the fight and in the grand Hallelujah wind up 12 sought and found the master. On Wednesday our Assembly meeting was attended with power and God, for Christ's sake, saved 21 souls; five came out again on Thursday, idols cast at the feet of Jesus on Friday. Saturday, Free and Easy; six professed to find the Saviour.

On Sunday we had 300 at knee-drill and the Lord was with us all the day; large crowds unable to get in Barracks at night; a powerful meeting and 15 souls professing to find peace in believing. Praise the Lord!

Worcester is going a-head. Captain Fielder, and wife, are in the hearts of the people. Some really good Army work is going on. The Drum and Fife Band takes well. Hundreds of the roughest are drawn in by music. The meetings are massive. Eighteen hundred are crammed into the Barracks, still there is not room enough. On Sunday we had over 100 out for the blessing, and thirty souls; and seventy more souls on Monday.

(Capt. Flelder).—We are having glorious times here. The past week some of the vilest of sinners have been to the feet of Jeaus. Some of the worst characters aud drunkards in Worcester are coming to the Mercy-seat. We are belleving for a mighty outpouring of His Holy Spirit. One publican has given up his public-bouse, and he is determined not to sell the stuft that ruined so many souls. May God keep him.

(Capt. Geo, Fielder) -Praise God we can report another glorious week. God has been saving in a special manner. Our place is not half large enough. On Sunday we had a grand march. Over one hundred of our Soldiers turned out. Inside a real Salvation Meeting. One of our converted drunkards gave his testimony as follows - He aaid, "I have been in a hell hole, and because I would not drink and curse with them, the foreman gave me the sack, but praise God, if I am out of work a month I can give my wife her wages every week, and that is better than taking it to the public-house." We rejoice to say that some of the poorest characters in Worcester are coming to the feet of Jesus. Sunday afternoon over two hundred in the ranks, place packed at night; it was beyond description. Our Hall, long before time, was packed to suffocation, and hundreds unable to gain admission.
