Kilsyth - Salvation Army (1880)

Good times here. Last Thursday was the first time we marched through the town. We had a happy time. One brother said, “last week he was on his road to hell, but now he was saved.“ One young woman said, “my father and mother turned me out, but the Lord took me in.“ One man said, “I am safe, but my wife is not, yet the Lord will save her.“ And the next night she got saved. Praise the Lord. On Saturday night 58 testified that their sins were all forgiven. On Monday, the Devil was raging in the open-air. The mob tried to upset us, but the Lord was fighting for us and we won the victory over Satan. A good time inside. The devil lost one of his soldiers.
