A remarkable work of awakening has been going on in this village in Lanarkshire within 2 miles of the covenant battlefield of Bothwell Brig. The Uddingston Evangelistic Association purposed a fortnight of nightly meetings, but so encouraging were the results they were continued for another fortnight. On the 1st inst, these meetings were brought to a close by a social gathering of Christians for the double purpose of giving the right hand of Fellowship to the young converts, and of bidding farewell to Mr J B. Dalziel, the evangelist who has conducted these services and who has much endeared himself to the Christians in Uddingston.
