Hawick (1878)

Mr George Williams has just concluded a three weeks' series of evangelistic meetings here, which for attendance interest and spiritual fruit have not been equalled in our town since the times of blessing 1873-74. His first address produced a deep and very favourable impression on a large audience and night by night the interest and attendance increased, until on the last Sabbath the largest hall in the town was crowded out. Every night the after-meeting brought to light a number of anxious cases.
