1829-30 Dowlais, Glamorganshire. ‘In the year 1827... [t]he number of the members was only 35, and the number in the school was 150... The revival that took place in the years 1829-30 added wonderfully to the church, and to the school. Instead of 35 the members came to be 200; and instead of 150 in the school, there were 400 there. “So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.” [Acts 19:20]’ (MC iii. 85)
