Chowbent (1878)

Mr Rowlinson, Market-Place, Chowbent, writes: We have a most encouraging work going on now at the mission hall. A short time since we had a week of special temperance meetings, and now we have just concluded a week of special Gospel services. It has been evident that the Lord met many there, and many were led to know the truth, and have found peace, trusting in Jesus as their Saviour. The work has grown so heavily upon us that we have felt for a long time we greatly needed help, and now have engaged the services of a trustworthy Christian man to assist in the general work, especially visitation amongst the sick and needy.

"The Christian," March 21st, 1878.
