Gwennap (1799)

Charles and John Wesley visited Gwennap as many times as anywhere from 1743 to 1760. The biggest crowds were always here and they only stopped visiting because Gwennap Pit held more people. The many thousands that always came were probably because people came from Redruth, Camborne and St Ives.

Gwennap was touched by the 1799 revival when 200 were added to the society; by the 1814 revival and the 1823 revival.

Additional Information

I do not know where the meetings were held.
