Bonhill (1859)

Increasing earnestness has been visible for some time; but, on Sabbath evening, about fifty out of a large Bible class taught by Mr Parker the devoted missionary, were brought under deep conviction of sin. Four young men from Dumbarton had been labouring in the neighbourhood, and had said a few words to the class. Mr Parker found groups of his young people weeping on the street, and after much time spent in his house in prayer and conversation, eighteen have professed faith in Jesus.
