Llangynog (1859)

From Llangynog, in another part of the county, we hear, "the revival proceeds with irresistible power. If anyone who knew this village a year ago visited it now, he would doubt whether it was really the same place, so great is the change. Those who were celebrated before for their drunkenness are now equally celebrated for their fervour at the throne of grace. If this work proceeds as it does at present, an irreligious person will not be found amongst us."

From ‘The Welsh Revival’ by Thomas Phillips.
