Pont-rhyd-y-groes - Humphrey Jones

This was where Humphrey Jones had one of his early meetings. David Morgan lived nearby and decided to go to hear him, having heard that his meetings were accompanied by remarkable manifestations. He held some prejudice against Wesleyanism but went all the same. Morgan could not sleep after the second meeting and went to find Jones to discuss matters with him.

The meeting was at the Wesleyan Chapel, not this Calvinist Methodist Chapel.
