Port Glasgow - Salvation Army (1882)

God is doing a mighty work here through Captain Kent and Lieutenant Baird. We hear of over 400 souls having professed Salvation within the last few weeks. We visited the Corps on Friday night last for a Holiness meeting and had previously given instructions that none but Christians and young recruits would be admitted. Notwithstanding this, the Hall was nearly full upstairs and down. Some good testimonials were given and altogether we were highly gratified with our first visit to Port Glasgow.

From, 'The War Cry', October 1882.

This is just one example of what was happening here. More reports can be seen from the War Cry in future months/years.
