Southampton - Salvation Army

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Southampton, Hampshire  ·  Type: National well

(Capt. Crouch).—Since The Army has been in this town, we have seen some of the worst characters getting saved, who are now working for God. The past week has been one of the best since we have been in Southampton. On Thursday evening, while we were singing-

"Come to Jesus!'*

the power of God fell upon the peopie, and big men and women were falling down all around and crying aloud for mercy, and are now rejoicing in the God of their Salvation. We are believing for still greater things to be done here.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 9th February 1882.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
