Oxford - Salvation Army

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Oxford, Oxfordshire  ·  Type: National well

Our meetings all day on Sunday were packed, morning, noon, and night. Our Soldiers came well filled with the Holy Ghost, all believing mighty things, and, praise God, were not disappointed. God sent the power down in a remarkible manner, as He always does when we hold on to Him, and we finished up the day with fifteen at the Master's bleeding feet. Some came down with the intention of making game, I got to know this, and God seemed to fill me with the Holy Ghost, and gave me courage to teli them so. Then I prayed with them and before they got off their knees, thay were, I believe, soundly converted to God.

Capt. L. SMITH.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 12th January 1882.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
