Cirencester - Salvation Army

Date: 1881  ·  Place: Cirencester, Gloucestershire  ·  Type: National well

We are having glorious times here for saints and sinners, God is working mightily. We have heart-searching, soul probing times. We get some rich blessings at our Hall and at our Cottage prayer meetings - real "Blood and Fire" work is going on.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 12th January 1882.

Capt. Symmonds — Since our last report, we can say that God has been blessing us and saving souls. The battle has been hard, yet, thank God, our Great Captain brought us more than conquerors. Hallelujah! Our open-air marches are good. Soldiers came up well. Afternoon, Free-and-Easy, every speaker spoke with power. souls at the close. Evening march, about 100 Soldiers in the ranks. Inside, packed. The power of God was manifested in our midst. One son! came to the Mercy seat. We tinisbed the day's fighting with the capture of four of Satan's soldiers.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 2nd March 1882.
