(Channel Island) (Capt P. Hansen),- Since my last report we have had blessed times here. The Lord is blessing and saving souls. Praise His name. Drunken wen are now sober, men sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in their right mind Swearing men have begun to pray, and wretched homes are now made happy through the Saviour's love. Converts are telling out of a full heart what the Lord has done for them. Our saved publican doing well. Last week he took the sign down, Which was called "The Travellers Joy." He is going to keep a coffee house Praise tle Lord! Many more such cases of conversion we could give, for which we give the Lord all the praise, trusting, praying, and labouring for more.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 23rd February 1882.

The meetings at Alderney continue to be richly blessed. Public houses are deserted and saved publicans are taking place in our meetings. This is how it should be. Capt. Hanson is at his wit's end as 161 have got saved out of a population of 700 and the remainder are mostly French-speaking Romanists.

From, "The War Cry," page 4, 23rd February 1882.

(Capt. Peter Hansen) This is rathera small island but in it we found misery and the deepest ? when The Salvation Army came here. Out of a population of thirteen to fourteen hundred, 257 sinners have during the short time The Army has been here come to the feet of Jesus. The publicans have a good deal of leisure time now. Some have time to corne to the meeting. Five have given up their trade altogether. Praise the Lord! more will follow. (This differs from the previous report)

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 23rd March 1822.

(The 1881 census says about 1550 people of whom 500 were under 16)

I do not know where the meetings were held.
