Bridgewater - Salvation Army

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Bridgewater, Somerset  ·  Type: National well

(Capt. Bourne.)— We arrived at Bridgwater on Thursday; about 100 Soldiers waiting for us. We have had grand meetings since we have been here, souls every night. Sunday was a day never to be forgotten, the power of God was felt in every meeting; the devil tried to upset the meeting. On Sunday afternoon we had a grand march with the brass band; abour 100 in ranks. Ar night the Hall was crammed: no standing room; seven souls wept their way to the feet of Jesus.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 9th February1882.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
