Devonport - Salvation Army

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Devonport, Devon  ·  Type: National well

(Capt. Kate Boyce).—Since my arrival at Devonport, after resting, we have had some most blessed seasons coming from the presence of the Lord. All sorts and conditions have got abundantly pardoned, we do believe. Hallelujah! One man, a policeman, who has been very miserable on account of sin, for some weeks past, came on Friday to the Mercy-seat, and ventured his all on Jesus, and was able to go away rejoicing in the God of His Salvation. We are praying and believing for a lot more to follow.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 19th January 1882.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
