Carloway (1950)

Duncan Campbell visited the church in Feb/March 1950 and revival came to the town. Many Free Church people attended the meetings. Several gave their lives to Jesus.

In April 1951 he came again, but found it dead, except for those who became Christians at his last visit. There was bitter opposition which probably came from the Free Church which was right next door; much of the Free Church on the island opposed the revival.

He visited the parish again in March 1952, but this time to Callanish (see this website), and revival retuned to the area.
