After a weeks rest William moved to Newington Presbyterian Church in the Limestone Road area of Belfast. A history of Newington Presbyterian Church was written by Dr Johnstone in 1926; in this account he recorded his impressions of the evangelist and the mission:
This mission was held in March 1922. On some evenings there were 2,000 people jammed within the church. Aisles, porches, vestibules and windows were crammed.
