(Capt. Miller).- The past week has been a blessed week to our souls, although the devil has been raging, praise God, sinners have been crying for mercy. On Sunday, Capt. Miller and Lieut Gear gave their farewell address, after eight months hard fighting. But, praise God, since their arrival, over 200 have professed to find Salvation. Sunday was a powerful time; deep conviction at night, five came out for Salvation, making nine for the week; finished with a real Hallelujah "go in." 107 testified of God's power to save and to keep. We mean Wisbech for Jesus. Hallelujah!

(Captain Biggs) -Sergeant Gorfunkle writes, "Oh, yes! it's getting better; our new Captain is going in full swing. Sunday a good day, public Hall packed, at night, good attention, three came out for Salvation.

Thursday, powerful meeting, six out at the Mercy-seat. Friday night our Captain spoke with power on the blessing of perlect deliverance from sin and fifteenn came forward as seekers, Sunday night, public Hall crowded to overflowing. It really was a most glorious meeting: eleven came to the Mercy-seat and we finished up glorifying God for what He is doing here. To Him be all the praise. Amen.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 23rd February 1882.

(Capt. Biggs) —Friday night was exciting time: twenty-four came forward and sought the blessing of a clean heart. On Sunday, the glory of God was felt in our midst. We have some hard fighting to do here, but as one of our Soldiers said, their being knocked about in the open-air; “It only knocks more Salvation in.”  So it does; truly Sunday was a glorious day. Over ten souls for the week.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 9th March 1882.
