(Capt, Polland): - This Station continues to advance: the * Blood and Fire Soldiers are filled with zeal for God and His kingdom, and the glory comes among us and gives us some good times. On Monday we had a great Anniversary Tea, some 600 sitting down. We had a fine time, and the number of happy faces present showed how God had used The Army in this place. After tea a good Hallelujah Praise Meeting was led by Captain Harry Glover assisted by other Officers, and Major Reynolds took command of a large Overflow Meeting in the open-air. After which we had a Half-Night of Prayer and a powertul time to our souls when great work was done. These Half-Nights of prayer are very valuable wheels in the old chariot. Oh! for more of them over the country.
From, "The War Cry," page 2, 26th January 1882.
I do not know where the meetings were held.
