(Captain Brondhurst) - On Tuesday night we had a good march through the town, some sharp-shooting, and then for the Barracks, which was well filled with all sorts of people of the right class. Good meeting and some singing and some praying. No wonder there is such a good wurk going on here, for both captain and Soldiers are in downright earnest about holy living and the Salvation of souls.
From, "The War Cry," page 2, 26th January 1882.
I do not know where the meetings were held.
