(Capt Lockwood), -A man has just got saved here who has been a most terrible drunkard. He says he has had to pay bills for drink, mounting to £7 10s, and now that he is saved he wonders however the Lord permitted him to go an as he used, swearing and drinking without cutting him off, and sending him away to hell without any mercy at God Almighty towards him. He is, indeed one of the many who have been plucked as brands from the eternal burning.
