Belfast - Salvation Army

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Belfast  ·  Type: National well

BELFAST I (Capt.Gover).- On Sunday our meetings were times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Seventeen souls sought Salvation at night. On Monday, we had another good Salvation time when five more came to the Master's feet. On Tuesday, a nunber of rougs attacked and kicked us. One of our comrades received a cruel cut over the right eye with a stone; but we caugt one of the leaders of the attacking party, and he is now in jail. Our comrade, though much hurt, is still praising God.

From, "The War Cry," page 2, 26th January 1882.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
