SWINDON (Capt Myers) -On Saturday night, we mustered in the open air, forty in ranks, headed by a big drum. We had been predicting good results; and hundreds turned out to witness us go through the town. Some scorned us, some laughed, and some thanked God The town was all astir. Scores followed us to the Barracks, where we had a splendid Free-and-Easy. Sunday was a time of marvellous power. Drum out all day: seventy in ranks at night, five tambourines and a number of fifes; the town was taken by surprise. Our Hall was full, and seventeen souls came out to the Merey-seat.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
