Douglas Brown returned to Yarmouth for the first two weeks of November, and for a short time he and Jock Troup joined forces in preaching the gospel. Evening meetings were held in Deneside Methodist Church and in St. George's Church. On one occasion the cultured Baptist minister and the rough herring cooper were together in the pulpit of the Deneside Church, weeping over the lost and in over-flowing love to the Saviour at the same time.
