(Captain Sneesby). Our Soldiers got gloriously blessed at the Coumell of War held in Manchester. In coming home we had to wait over an bour at Wigan Station, and held a Salvation Army meeting in two first-class waiting rooms; we believe God blessed the word. On Saturday our meetings at the big Camp went off weil; hundreds of people listened to what our converts had to say, and tears were seen to run down many a cheek. This last week has been a time for giving up idols, such as pipes, feathers and finery, and our Soldiers have gone in for more of God and precious souls. One brother says he is fully saved and sanctified, the desire for drink and tobacco has been taken quite away. Hallelujah!
From, "The War Cry," page 3, 23rd February 1882.
I do not know where the meetings were held.
