Batley - Salvation Army

Date: 1881  ·  Place: Batley, Yorkshire  ·  Type: National well

Here is the flying artillery: hundreds have got converted; building packed every night. We have two now on Sundays, and more room wanted. Whilst standing upon the platform surrounded by a host of real “Blood and fire” Soldiers, I thought these are the sort to face the world and the devil, and never to give in till victory over hell is achieved. No room for testimonies.

From, "The War Cry," page2, 12th January 1882.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
