Date: 1882 · Place: Attercliffe, Yorkshire · Type: National well
(Capt Carter) Grand and glorious time on Sunday; the place was packed; many had to stand. We had a very powerful meeting, Soldiers were in full swing and three precious souls fell into the fountain. One big man got saved in the afternoon. He had been a fighter and a drunkard. Now, instead of a fighting man, he is thrashing his old master, the devil, under the banner of King Jesus. Attercliffe is stretching out her borders.
From, "The War Cry," page 3, 26th January, 1882.
I do not know where the meetings were held.
