Dalton-in Furness - Salvation Army

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Dalton-in-Furness, Cumbria  ·  Type: National well

(Capt. Sambo).-Since my last report God has been blessing us at this Station in a wonderful manner. Thank God big sinners are falling in the fountain, and going on their happy way to Heaven. On Sunday night we met at the Fountain, Tudor Square, for open-air. We had good meeting, and went home rejoicing.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 19th January 1882.

Although there is no mention of Salvations, this was the time of a major revival in the UK.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
