Whitby- Primitive Methodists (1820)

Mr Clowes preached at Whitby again on Sunday, February 18th; in the morning in the New Market and in the afternoon in a large room. "I now formed a society," he says, "and the work broke forth like a mountain torrent. In a short time we had upwards of one hundred persons in society, and a new chapel erected."
