Galashiels

Under the auspice of the Galashiels Home Mission, Mr George Williams, evangelist, commenced a series of special meetings here on Sunday evening, Oct. 13, in the Public Hall, which was filled to overflowing; and during the three weeks the meetings have continued, the greatest interest has been displayed in the good work by the large numbers of people who have attended. Mr Williams' labours have been greatly owned and blessed of God in turning many from darkness to light, and in arousing many of the Lord's people who were at ease in Zion. Nearly every night anxious souls were dealt with and not a few have been savingly converted. Mr Williams' last meeting was a specially interesting one; the word was accompanied with great power and many were awakened.
