Hexham - Salvation Army

Date: 1822  ·  Place: Hexham, Northumberland  ·  Type: National well

(Capt, Mabbits) - God has been saving and is still saving some of the worst drunkards of this town. Praise His dear name! We have ended the last week with over twenty souls in the fountain, and what we are trying to do, is to keep them living in the fountain, and walking in the light when we have got them. Amen, so let it be.

From, "The War Cry," page 3, 19th January 1882.

I do not know where the meetings were held.
