Choppington - Salvation Army

Date: 1882  ·  Place: Choppington, Northumberland  ·  Type: National well

(Capt Lawton) Saturday was our welcome tea here, and at night a real Hosanna Meeting. We shall never forget it; sinners are being convicted all over the village. I am glad to say the Spirit of God is laying hold of some of the worst characters. Tuesday night-was a glorious time, both to saints and sinners, it was a happy sight to see nine precious souls at the feet of Jesus.
