Date: 1880-1882 · Place: Blaina, Blaenau Gwent · Type: National well
“What a change has come over Blaina!” Says a Wesleyan local preacher in that place. Not only is the New Hall packed every night almost to suffocation, with those who a short time ago were steeped over head and ears in sin and with those who were once all in rags but are now neatly dressed, standing up telling what the Lord has done for their souls; whilst others are shouting the praises of God and some weeping on account of their sins. If we were inclined to stop our work this cheering news would certainly move us on again. But the salvation stream is never frozen up, nor our workers frozen out. Onward we go to all eternity.

(Capt. Morgan).-Lieut. Evans writes. "Among some of the roughest in the place, many, we believe, are getting saved. Praise the Lord! After a glorious week, we spent a very good day in the service of the King. On Sunday, at the close two volunteered out for Salvation. We wound up with a real "Hallelujah Go", at which eighty testifed. Conviction was all over the place, and sinners were trembling under the power of God.
From, "The War Cry," page 3, 19th January 1882.
I do not know where the New Hall was.
