Banton (1839)

'Revival spread from Kilsyth to Banton, where it was suddenly ignited. At a prayer meeting in the school there, virtually everyone present - well over one hundred men and women, not a few of them hardened miners and colliers - were 'melted'"

'Memoir of the Rev Wm C Burns', pages 99-100

The revival continued in the town.

Additional Information

I assume this is where the revival took place as it was the only church in the area.
