Robert Gilchrist wrote, "There was an unusual influence accompanying the Word of God read and preached, which took hold of the hearts of the people and drew their attention to the great concern. The Word of God was a living instrument in the hands of the preacher." Many young men and women were caught in the tide of the local revival that ensued, a number of whom became jealous workers in the Lord's Vineyard both home and abroad.

From, "Scotland Ablaze," by Tom Lennie, pages 544-5, published by Christian Focus.

I do not know where the Free Church was/is.
