POPLAR (Cadet). — Private Thomas Biggs writes:-"Victory, vinery, through the Blood of the Lamb! The devil has been hard at work, at this Station, trying to stop the Gospel Chariot from going ahead, This last six months we have had very nearly all the windows smashed in. The stones and bricks have been flying through the windows into the Hall, and the Soldiers have had to run into the vestry out of the way but, thanks unto God who has given us the victory. He has enabled us to fight His battles amidst it all, and we have fairly beaten the devil, and now souls are being saved, and our numbers are swelling.
