Dalziel Free Church - Motherwell

Date: 1860  ·  Place: Motherwell, Lanarkshire  ·  Type: National well

EP Hammond came here to do two weeks of meetings. A reporter from the Wynd wrote, "the windows of heaven have been opened and a shower of blessing has come down, such as we never anticipated.… I cannot describe the state of things.… Every night the number is swelled under Mr Hammond's solemn, faithful, loving address." The minister continued the meetings after Hammonds departure and to his delight, "The whole available population turn out to the revival meetings."

From Tom Lennie's, 'Scotland Ablaze', page 101.

I think the old building was here.
