William Haslam Preached - Perranporth (1852)

Haslam decided in the summer of 1852 to go and preach in his old parish of Perranzabuloe but the vicar would not allow him to use the church, but said he could not stop him if he preached on the beach. He found many hundreds of people waiting on the beach and at the end of the service at least fifty people were crying for mercy.

Additional Information

Perranporth has a very large beach, I am only guessing that this is where he preached.
