Rothesay (1888)

The Faith Mission had its most successful work in Rothesay. Two young women began to preach here, revival spreading through the town and the island. 1,500 would pack into the New Public Hall which was on Princes Pier. The theology of the Faith Mission was severely criticised, so the revival was not without its criticism, controversy and confusion.

There was also a revival in the town in 1875.
