Mey - Thomas Collins' Father (1837)

Thomas Collins’ father’s journal.

Wednesday, May 17th. Through pouring rain I reached the village of May. About sixty people crowded into the smithy, where, in my shirt sleeves, while my coat dried at the fire, with the anvil for a desk, I preached from Rom. i. 16: "I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ." Many wept, and all desired me to come again.
