Aline (1823)

Malcolm MacRitchie became a teacher at Aline in 1823. 'A work of grace ensued, and children, parents and grandparents would all crowd into the schoolhouse to hear him speak, both by day ad by night. As a result there were many conversions. The ardent evangelist won many more Hebridean souls to the Lord in his itinerant travels across Lewis, Harris and Skye.'
