Paible - North Uist

Date: 1843  ·  Place: North Uist, Scottish Islands  ·  Type: Local well

A revival started here and quickly spread south.

A young man, 'so much overwhelmed with a sense of his lost condition that he could not walk home from the place of worship. His friends had often to carry him. At other times he would, it is said, not only walk but leap with joy after hearing Mr McIntyre.'

'The Rev Alexander McIntyre', by Robinson, page 12.

I do not know where the meetings were.
